Off Road with Land Rover!

Last weekend I had the privilege to tag along with one of my best friends on an amazing off-road trip with Land Rover of Encino!  Let me be the first to say “I get it” the experience was definitely on the luxury side- even though we and the vehicles got down right dirty!  Land Rover of Encino takes their clients on various trips such as Joshua Tree and Ojai but this trip was just about 60 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles at a California state park named, Hungry Valley State Vehicular RecreationArea.  The park provides about 130 miles of trails for various levels of off-road adventures plus an amazing obstacle course with sand traps, rock and bolder courses, deep and shallow water traps and extremely steep hills a.k.a. you cannot see the tip of your car and at times you are literally driving by faith! If you own or know someone who owns a motorcycle, four-wheel drive, or all-terrain vehicle and you are looking for a day trip or even somewhere to camp where you can have a fun-filled day of exploring and testing your personal  and your vehicle's extreme limits I would definitely recommend visiting this state park.  Remember, do not forget to pack sunscreen, plenty of water and lunch – if you get to go with Land Rover of Encino they have all of this covered for you!  Enjoy and let me know about your “Extreme Adventures” as I’m always looking for new ideas!

Here are a few photos from the day!

Beach City Real Estate

Today I took a fun bike ride through Los Angeles' Beach Cities: Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice and Marina Del Rey.  It was a great day and hundreds of locals were out enjoying their day as well.  Right now the market in Los Angeles is on fire! If you are thinking about Buying or Selling a home to be closer to the beach lifestyle, now is the time to do it!  Summer is a great time to transition.  If you are even considering living near the beach, whether it be your permanent residence or a vacation home or condo, I would encourage you to take a peak at the housing inventory. You might just find your perfect home  - close to the beach, great shopping, world famous restaurants and fantastic entertainment!

Cheers!

Yee-haw: Saddle Up So Cal

Yee-haw! I'm rounding up all Southern California cowboys and girls who want to enjoy a great weekend adventure. If you have almost all day to soak up the great outdoors plus a fun Mexican-food lunch with large margaritas then Sunset Ranch, near Beachwood Canyon, provides a fantastic horse-back-riding tour through the Hollywood Canyons. You and your group will be matched with a horse that fits your experience level. The staff will then help you saddle up on your horse and you will begin to mosey through the canyons, which features an amazing view of the famous Hollywood sign. After an hour-an-a-half ride your group will arrive in Burbank where you will hitch your horse to a post outside of a Mexican food restaurant. There you can relax and munch on lunch and sip on extra large margaritas. After a leisure lunch, make sure you take the peppermint your waiter gives you so your horse can have a treat for being so patient while you lunched, you will head back to the Sunset Ranch camp where you will be satisfied with a great day yet ready to take a hot shower to wash away all the dirt from the dusty canyons. All-in-all I had a memorable day and would highly recommend this activity for locals and tourists!

Tumi-licious

During a recent trip I arrived at my hotel to unpack my Tumi suitcase only to discover that the zipper had basically unraveled. Yes, I know, how does a zipper unravel? I have no clue but that is exactly what it looked like. Not only was I upset that my extra expensive luggage was ruined but I was only staying at my current hotel one night before I moved on to the next location. For a moment I felt like a damsel in distress, ha! Should I ask the hotel for a large bag? Should I try and find an outlet store and buy a new suitcase? Or maybe I should see if there was a Tumi store in the city! Yes, that is exactly what I did. To my surprise buying an expensive piece of luggage paid off, literally. The sales person told me to bring in my luggage, they would ship if off for repair and give me a loaner! I went to the store and few moments after filling out a few forms I was off with a brand new loaner! Thanks to Tumi I was free to travel carefree. Thank you Tumi!!!

Up, Up & Away!

Purple and pink lights, pretty girls in uniforms, dance music, pop-up TVs and white leather chairs - this all sounds like the make-up of a trendy club right? Well, kind of but the so-called "club" is in the sky! That's right Virgin America is my favorite way to fly. The fleets are clean, the staff has been friendly on every leg I've flown and if you forget your ipod or other source of entertainment fear not the touch-screen TVs offer a large range of music artists to choose from, the latest movies and On Demand TV, etc. If you are seated far from your friends or if you spot that attractive person a few rows back introduce yourself by setting up a chat session. Next time you fly buckle up with Virgin America.

Cheers!

I recently took a trip to "Napa Valley" for a close friend's birthday celebration! Our group had a wonderful time touring the beautiful country side, eating at amazing restaurants and of course wine tasting. This is not my first trip to this Northern California destination however it was my first time to tour Jordan Vineyard and Winery, located in Healdsburg, CA. My family is a huge fan of Jordan so you can imagine my eagerness to take the tour. The experience at the estate was heavenly. The staff treated each guest as if they were entering their own personal home, in fact CEO John Jordan was on-site as well to personally say hello. The wine tastings presentation was carefully paired with a beautiful selection of cheeses and each guest was seated at an elegant dining table so that each could linger and savor the time. All - in -all I highly recommend to add Jordan Vineyard and Winery to your next excursion to Northern California but make sure you make your reservation in advance!

Cheers!
